A group of Cuban medics which includes five doctors and nine nurses has arrived in Mozambique to help fight the Covid-19 pandemic.

Health ministry official Ussene Isse disclosed that they will be stationed in hospitals in the capital, Maputo, which is the epicenter of the pandemic in the country.
He said 45 Cuban health care professionals in total are expected to arrive in the country.
It was gathered that a second group is expected to arrive in Maputo on 2 February. They will include 25 doctors and six nurses.
